"OFFICE LIBELS"Note: Richard Searle, who retired as the Chief Librarian to the UK MOD in 2000, researched the MOD archives for information on Frank Hudleston. On the 21st December 2005 he wrote:"... I also came across a small gem. A handwritten collection of light-hearted Limericks about, I imagine, people in the War Office in his day, headed "Office Libels" It is marked "Strictly Private and Highly Personal". A footnote on the front page reads, "The contents of this book must not be communicated to anybody under the rank of a Count of the Holy Roman Empire" (!)..."
